When the media needs an angry crowd it goads the general public, does it test its most strident material on the Alternative crowd first? And are we all really prone to unbridled emotional melt down?
Hysteria, in its colloquial use, describes unmanageable emotional excesses.
A Brief History of Hysteria
In the 19th century, authorities recognised a medical issue called Female Hysteria – an obsolete medical theory now, the product of medical ignorance. Symptoms varied, but ranged from sexual dissatisfaction to cramps, loss of appetite, insomnia – you name it, just about anything was a symptom. Conditions of which could be caused by diet, stress, periods or mental illness, or being married to a bastard and living a life of stultifying misery and boredom. Much like now.
One of the treatments for this ficticious and imaginary illness was a pelvic massage provided by a Doctor.
It seems Men have been charging Women for Sexual assault for years.
Doctors administered orgasms also known as “hysterical paroxysm”. Doctors weren’t adept in this department (its hysterical they would try), so turned to technology, in 1870 a clock work vibrator was available, by 1873 an electrical vibrator was developed to assist physicians.
Initially the equipment was only available to Doctors or expensive Health Spa’s, until electricity became available in peoples homes, when it left the mental hospitals and entered upper class society.
The “fainting room” became popular in some wealthier households, complete with a couch for the distressed female to recline on during a spell of “fainting”. In time, electricity and machinery filtered down into the wrongly labelled Middle and Lower class.
Now every woman could have a “Best friend”.

The ‘unintended’ INTENDED consequence, is for Women, modern Men were (again) replaced by an artificial Phallus, and no longer required for pleasure. Women could please themselves, much as they had done since time began?, using mass production techniques.
The connection between the Genders divided even further, Men became convinced a Woman needed more than him, and Women were encouraged to think a device was better than a real connection with a Man. And as a thank you to the Celtic Rebel:
The advent of modern psychology condemned Female Hysteria to the dust bin of medical theories.
However, certain symptoms are now considered aspects of Schizophrenia, a contemporary catch all, for anything that can be taxed for shameless profit.
The Modern HYSTERIA.
A Lingering Failure to Connect
The historical hysterical splash effect remains, with men still inclined to refer to distressed women as ‘Hysterical’, often as a way to demean a Women’s response to a situation. The Womens Lib movement during the 60′s & 70′s, tried to redefine perceptions of Women in society, especially in the work force where Men were increasingly being confronted with legitimately angry Women.
And its still a facet of the engineered division between the Genders, that some Men refuse to acknowledge that a Woman can be justifiably frustrated or angry.
Men get righteously pissed off, but Women get hysterical.
In certain human sub cultures, aggressive males will demand that a Woman’s partner, “get that bitch under control”, or THEY will. Violence is implicit in the language, and at times the partner, or his associates, or both will beat that poor Woman.
Its a profound tragedy, that the expression of distress or even emotion, is punished relentlessly by Western culture.
One outcome of being emotionally overwhelmed, or no longer being able to cope or blunt the impact of stress, is the “ENOUGH!” response. People remove themselves from the situation, they yell “Shut the F**K up”, they cry inconsolably or go into shock, sometimes they strike at people.
Even hardened veterans of conflict and high stress, can break down under the right conditions.
None of these responses are gender specific, and who exactly finds the emotional excess unmanageable anyway?
Often, its others in the immediate vicinity. Its likely we’ve all seen a profoundly upset person being gently led away by one or two carers, maybe its to preserve their dignity, more likely its to prevent the light bulb going on in our heads.
Upset people have a RAW way of being honest, the docile fear honesty, and distressed people can be distressingly honest. We hide away our upset folks, because they reveal the sham that is society and culture, they stop playing THE GAME and it offend us.
Kids get it, Adults Don’t…sorta.
Alex Robinson of http://toolonginthisplace.wordpress.com/ has pointed out that, young children, when upset, can go from fine to fired up in seconds. They are unashamedly candid, they wear their position upfront, they do not self censor until bent into shape by Culture.
Adults are appalled when an Adult is upfront and instantly displays their emotional honesty, others immediately assume ‘THAT’ individual is mentally unbalanced or developmently challenged.
We’re taught Adults don’t cry, throw tantrums, or break down in public – usually.
However if you’ve been drinking, you have temporary permission to let your feelings slip. And the next day you can blame the booze.
It states in the CON-CENS(OR)-US rule book, you are not permitted to be distressed in public, unless someone you love has just died. And only then.
But do it quietly.
Where no one can see.
This emotional reservation breaks down on fair ground rides and sports events or concerts, where adults are “ALLOWED” to yell, whoop, hollah or scream.
But usually only there. Pleased don’t show too much enthusiasm for life on your own, it disturbs the busy workers.
Another venue for unleashed hollering, is during armed conflict (Massacre and Genocide), where cheering a drone strike on children elicits unbridled joy and yelling from the aggressor, and warm fuzzies in bar flies watching CNN at the local pub.
However the contrasting scream of agony, despair, outrage or frustration is always unwelcomed. Westerners struggle to cope with public displays of the Human Condition, there is a suspicion that emotional outbursts will infect others.
Can’t have them panicking the herd, they’ll stampede, productivity on the plantation will drop – what will the investors say! Think of the profit loss!
Ironically, when the Authorities get hysterical, people die en masse. Funny how that works.
When Good Crowds Go,….GOODER.
In popular disaster movies, the stampeding crowd rushes in a panic to escape ruin, and in the process many are trampled to death or injured. The superficial message presented is, stay calm, the underlying message is actually, stay docile.
In film drama the stampede is often predicated by someone screaming “Hysterically”, and upping the tension, whipping the crowd into a fever.
Having personally lived in a disaster zone, riding out numerous calamities, I can attest to the calm and measured response to disaster i’ve witnessed. People, when threathened with ruin, actually act far more rationally than TV/Movies describe.
Its rational, sane and wise to move with determination away from a point of danger – this is not panicking – although thats the term the Media used repeatedly. The public see video of people in a flurry of motion, hear the word PANIC, and nod like trained monkeys.
Simply show a few thousand people moving quickly away from a disaster, speak in a grave tone, and lie, lie, lie about how those people are responding. Running from falling masonry is SANE, is WISE, is HEALTHY – you may look like you’re panicking, but that’s how nature keeps you from dying. Holywood encourages us to think mass panic mayhem happens, but what happens is much, much, much different. What happens looks like this:
Ahsei ‘Ace’ Sopoaga has been mythologised here, by his community, something the Media had to steal. Repackage and rebrand. He went to help, because its the right thing do.
I’ve witnessed an entire central business district empty with firm determination, four times now. There was concern and loud discussion, and thousands of people evacuating on foot. The powers that be and the Media colluded to own and steer the public imagination, they turned it into a “STORY”, a “MYTH”, they had to control the imagery.
The world was seeing a CONTRADICTION to the FEAR programming, and they needed to mythologize the event. Fit it into the HERO narrative.
In fact, people responded with decency and came to the aid of others because THAT’S WHAT HUMANS DO for each other.
I witnessed only one instance of emotional outburst, and that was fair enough, given the danger and the stress.
People ARE much, much better than the media portrays.
And just in case the mainstream media misses anyone, we have the Alternative Media…
The Alternative Media and 2011′s Strident Clamor.
2011 marked a record for bellicose predictions of imminent disaster and weirdness. The Alternative media presented a long list of horrors waiting to befall us:
- Chem Trails
- Planet Nibiru
- Commet Elenin
- Project Blue Beam
- Manmade pandemics
- FEMA death camps
- Police State takeover/Micro chips/Total Spectrum Warfare
- Global War
- HAARP weather modification
- Run away global warming
- Run away global cooling
- Planetary Changes – Mega quakes/Mega Volcanoes/Mega Tsunami’s
- Rampant Flouridation
- Poisoned Food – Monsanto GM crops
- Secret Space Weapons
- CIA/NSA/Black Ops/Mercenary operations
- Satanic Cabals
- Global Financial Meltdown
- Alien Invasion
- Mayan Calendar countdown to 2012
And the list goes on, and on, and on.
Any one of those things could cause a chap concern, the entire list seems designed to mangle a Humans mind to the point of
Monkey See, Monkey Do
If you were to digest the entire pantheon of those horrors, DAILY, you’d soon find yourself in a state of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
This begs the question, can enough media exposure to televised Trauma, induce Trauma? It can certainly alter a persons responses in life to various situations in negative ways.
The American Psychological Association shows a distinct connection between TV violence and human behaviour.
Violence in the Media – Psychologists Help Protect Children from Harmful Effects
Noting the effects of Television violence, and laterly Video game violence as promoting these effects;
- Children may become less sensitive to the pain and suffering of others
- Children may be more fearful of the world around them
- Children may be more likely to behave in aggressive or harmful ways toward others
A 15-Year longitudinal study shows the ongoing impact of Televised violence in later adult life:
Indicating both genders were more likely to use violence in the home, and to commit crimes, than individuals who watched less or very little TV violence.
Complete journal article here;
Psychologist Albert Bandura’s research shows there is a “monkey see/monkey do” element to aggression, leading people to act out some of the aggression they have observed.
Later research has shown that viewing violent acts on TV and in the movies affects people in other negative ways:
- It decreases viewers’ concerns about victims’ suffering,
- it decreases viewers’ sensitivity to violent acts
- it increases the likelihood that viewers will emulate the aggressive acts depicted in the show or movie.
Young children are especially vulnerable to the effects observed violence. (emphasis mine)
However, just as Aggression or Violence can be impressed into a young mind, Co-operation can be too:
Remember being frightened by something on TV, as a Kid?
That will seem quaint to Gen Y and the Millenials, who have seen a massacre a minute via TV and the Internet. Who have played ultra-violent video games, to the extent, they are little more than Human Drones waiting to be plugged into a Robotic military interface. Kids who watched the SAW and HOSTEL movies, and laughed, at the torture and violence.
But for some of us, TV did disturb us, and we knew it and felt it. Disgust is a natural reaction to an obscenity, its sane and natural to be DISGUSTED by the Media dirge of death and ruin.
Media power has been consolidated.
The message focus became centralised, and all roads lead to Rome.
Today, almost all roads lead us to a dwindling world view, a view that is the consolidation of other engineered views.
As the imagination stagnates, so do future possibilities, and the lexicon required to describe a different view calcifies and dies. The Alternative media requires ‘Awake’ supporters to use the same sanctioned terms, the in-group language becomes the passport to inclusion.
Remember these golden oldies…
- New World Order Satanist Jews
- Banking Cabal
- Jewish Global Elite
- The Global Banking Cartels
- Industrial Military Complex
- Lame stream media
- The Jesuit Order
- Talmudic Jews
And the list goes on, and on, and on…
The interplay between these entities is constantly hyped, amplified with strident language and forecasts of imminent doom. They are always “About to launch a major event”, they are always “Activating their end game plan”, or “We’re in the last days”.
How should a person react to such announcements? How should they respond to personalities announcing that dire threats and violence are coming our way?, and they always add “There’s nothing you can do to stop it.”
These hyped existential threats, continuous, unabating, strident, are the corner stone of the Alternative meme. While Joe Regular may watch CNN, and be somewhat concerned about rising gas prices, the higher cost of living, and the threat of criminal violence in his community – he can shrug some of that off .
The Alternative crowd however, are told, they can never relax. They must remain hyper alert, the Police State is out to get you, we must always be on guard. We can’t afford to relax for long, better get supplies in, got your Bug-Out bag ready?
And when predictions fail to manifest, then some intervening agency, some secret faction conflict has delayed the innevitable. Illuminati underground bases are destroyed, a senate vote fails and they’re repositioning themselves for a new campaign, off world entities made threats…huh?
To that extent, the Alt Media is THE MEDIA, promoting fear, disinformation and disenpowerment.
But whatever you do, don’t lose it in public because,…
There’s no need to get Hysterical.
